I HAVE just ventured up the A30 for the first time since the opening of the dual carriageway at Temple. As I approached Bodmin my chest started to constrict in the usual way as I anticipated the row of red lights and the start of the queue. How many miles and how long? But no, we just kept sailing along on brand new tarmac (mostly) with two lanes of moving traffic on both sides of the central reservation. Before we knew it we had been spat out onto Bodmin Moor and were on our way to Devon.
