Sir Richard Branson - the 58 year-old British Billionaire who founded Virgin Atlantic Airlines and a host of other companies bearing the Virgin label has been committed to environmentalism since 2006. Now he's getting serious by investing $3 billion in biofuel research.

He has been the subject of many a news story in recent times. A controversial political figure, he has been an indefatigable party loyalist/activist and has often voiced unabashedly his own brand of nationalism. Dr Mervin Silva, non cabinet Minister of Labour in his inimitable way shared his opinions on current political and economic issues.

Jaliya Chitran Wickramasuriya is a highly successful businessman who has over the past two years found himself thrust into the role of diplomat. Appointed as Sri Lanka's Consul General in Los Angeles with extended jurisdiction to cover all the major western states of the United States of America in December 2006, he quickly built a reputation as an energetic doer of things mobilising expatriate Sri Lankans and lobbying diplomats and business concerns to secure benefits to Sri Lanka.
