Sir Richard Branson - the 58 year-old British Billionaire who founded Virgin Atlantic Airlines and a host of other companies bearing the Virgin label has been committed to environmentalism since 2006. Now he's getting serious by investing $3 billion in biofuel research.

He has been the subject of many a news story in recent times. A controversial political figure, he has been an indefatigable party loyalist/activist and has often voiced unabashedly his own brand of nationalism.
