Nunca debemos abandonar el propósito de hacer en nuestra vida algo extraordinario, que trascienda y perdure como un ejemplo vivo en la memoria de todos, que sirva de guía y ejemplo. Máxime cuando la urgencia de los retos que la humanidad debe enfrentar para sobrevivir a la emergencia climática demanda una toma de conciencia ante el ultimátum de la naturaleza.

La pandemia no puede considerarse un aviso más. Es el planeta que agoniza, no puede respirar.

Sea como fuere, la naturaleza siempre es más predecible que nosotros, menos perversa. Actuar de forma inmediata, y con todos los medios a nuestro alcance, no es una opción. Es la única forma de subsistir ante la destrucción de ecosistemas y la pérdida de la biodiversidad.

Mientras la sociedad permanece ajena a esta amenaza, incapaz de ver más allá, de percibir ese espacio ilimitado en el que las ideas se forman y la creatividad impulsa el cambio, los artistas alzan la voz, como Javier Ruiz Pérez, desde la figuración y el realismo de una obra pictórica en la que el alma fluye y se sostiene sobre la inteligencia y la profundidad.
