A family's collection of objects, art and furniture has been woven into the story of their Adelaide Hills home.

Previously obscured by a layout lacking connection and expression, a family's collection of unique homewares, original art and handpicked furniture has been brought into the light with this multilayered renovation. "As part of the briefing process, we always ask clients to share favourite pieces that hold personal significance for them," says Kate Bowen, creative director and founder of Fabrikate, an interior design studio in Adelaide. "With this family, we discovered a beautiful collection of furniture, artwork and travel memorabilia, which became the narrative thread for their home."
