Supermodel, Victoria’s Secret ambassador and business badass. Yep, things are looking pretty sweet for Alessandra Ambrosio…
A mother of two and one of the world's busiest supermodel, Brazilian beauty Alessandra Ambrosio has mastered the art of multitasking. When we meet at a beach house in Malibu, California, for our shoot, we find Alessandra, 35, surrounded by a glam squad. They tease her sun kissed hair and apply shimmery bronzer while she Face Times her seven-year-old daughter Anja, stealing bites of dulce de leche cheesecake as she chatters in rapid-fire Portuguese.
She’s leaving tomorrow for a shoot in Berlin, then on to Madrid, so she’s trying to maximize her mum time; a nanny later delivers her four-year-old son Noah to a house just a few miles along the coast where she lives with fiancé Jamie Mazur.
She met the jeans entrepreneur eight years ago, and got pregnant almost at hello an unexpected development causing major lifestyle changes, as the couple got to know each other at prenatal check-ups.
“I was so happy. I wanted to have kids at 20, so 26 was already old for me! I felt it was great timing and I took off a whole year. Victoria’s Secret were fine with freezing my contract and going back later, so I wasn’t worried about my career,” says the 5ft 9in model, known to friends and family as Ále – which is also the name of her new swimwear line.
She discovered the perfect yin to her yang in Jamie. He’s goofy. She’s serious. He cooks, she doesn’t. He also turned her on to yoga, which is now a mutual passion. They both love fashion, but family always comes first.
When they met, Alessandra lived in New York, and Jamie moved into her penthouse while they sought a family-size home in LA.
