I am thrilled on one hand, but also worried I will be called on to offer childcare. I'm due to retire and could afford to do so sooner, but I had really hoped to do a bit of travelling and enjoy the freedom of not working. Am I being selfish and letting my daughter down?

If you think about it, most of us are conditioned from a relatively early age to plot out how our lives should look.
