Lorraine Kelly has been part of our morning routine since the early 90s, when she was a main host on Good Morning Britain and then helped to launch  GMTV. But after three successful decades of breakfast television, could it finally be time for Lorraine to step down?

There is no denying Lorraine, who has her own show which airs every weekday morning on ITV, is a veteran in her field. But she’s only been back on our screens for a short time after her summer break and it seems viewers are already keen to bring back her stand-in Christine Lampard, commenting that Lorraine, 63, has ‘had her day’ and ‘it’s time for change’.

So could ITV be preparing to freshen things up?
