MARION MCMULLEN looks at the start of comedy panel show 8 Out Of 10 Cats two decades ago

COMEDIAN Jimmy Carr hosted the first episode of 8 Out Of 10 Cats with Sean Lock and Dave Spikey as the team captains.
The comedy panel show launched on Channel 4 20 years ago this month and featured guests like Richard Madeley, Lee Mack, Richard Amstell and Mel Giedroyc. Jason Manford took over as a team captain in 2007 and has described the show as his first major television job.
Jon Richardson, Rob Beckett, Aisling Bea and Kather-ine Ryan have all made their mark on the Channel 4 favourite.
