Drugged-up thug jailed for attacking pregnant partner

A VIOLENT thug who took cocaine strangled his partner when she was pregnant with his child and punched her in the stomach after she had undergone a C-section.
The victim said his behaviour became worse after he started using drugs and he dangerously swerved his car in front of hers when their children were inside.
Nicholas Davies, 27, of Swansea, had been in a relationship with the victim for five years and subjected her to physical violence and threats on a daily basis.
The defendant was said to become jealous when the victim spoke to male friends and would regularly accuse her of cheating on him with no basis.
A sentencing hearing at Cardiff Crown Court heard Davies paid youths to track his partner's movements.
Prosecutor Alycia Carpanini told the court that the defendant repeatedly assaulted the victim by strangling, slapping, punching and kicking her.
The first assault took place when a male friend texted the victim to ask if she got home safely from a party. Davies responded by grabbing her and throwing her to the floor.
The victim later took a bath but the defendant assaulted her again by strangling her.
Ms Carpanini said the victim later discovered she was pregnant with her second child, and Davies challenged the child’s paternity.
