Record turnout for New Year's Day swim

THERE was a record turnout at the UK's biggest festive charity swim event as more than 3,000 turned up at Saundersfoot’s New Year's Day Swim.

Planned by the Saundersfoot Festivities Committee, the event has grown over the years as it celebrated its 40th anniversary yesterday.

Committee volunteers work throughout the year to ensure the safety of participating swimmers.

Saundersfoot is widely recognised as the largest festive “dash and splash” in the country, and is supported by professional water safety teams, and dedicated professional teams on land.
