First criticised over handling of situation
HURT: Kristy Lanaghan.
A PASSENGER needed medical attention after being caught up in a collision at Hanley Bus Station.
Kristy Lanaghan went to Royal Stoke University Hospital A&E following the crash.
The 46-year-old says passengers on her bus were 'screaming' and the 'windows smashed'. First Potteries has launched an investigation into the January 17 collision.
Kristy was travelling back to her Tunstall home following a game of bingo when the drama unfolded.
She said: "I hopped on the number 39 to go back to Tunstall. But before we actually left the station, another bus went into the side of the one I was on.
"All the windows smashed and glass went over the people onboard. Everyone started screaming. The bus driver got up when he realised what had happened. I asked him what we had to do. He said to get off the bus and wait for another one.
