Plans for 20 lodges, farm shop and cafe to be considered

PLANS for a major new development including a service station and 20 holiday lodges are set to be considered by council planners next week.

The development would be built close to the Al at Stannington in Northumberland, and has been recommended for approval by officers.

‘The application by GH Group includes a cafe, farm shop, children’s play area, EV charging points and the holiday lodges.

It would be built north west of the existing petrol filling station on Station Road.

Despite the fact that the site is in the Green Belt, a report on the application states that the plans fall within the new “limited infilling” exception set out in the revamped National Planning Policy Framework — (NPPF) introduced by the current Government.
