One man dies in four-vehicle collision

A MAN died and three more people were taken to hospital after a crash in County Durham.

The A689 was closed between the A1(M) at Bradbury and Rushyford roundabout for several hours on Monday following the collision, which involved four cars.
A spokesperson for Durham Constabulary said: “Police were called to reports of a four-vehicle collision at around 11.15am yesterday (June 30) on the A689 at Rushyford.
“Three people were taken to hospital to be treated for their injuries.
