Adding a touch of elegance as Hall turns to Japanese cuisine

An award-winning five-star hotel, said to be popular with celebrities, has just upped the ante again with a restaurant transformation that brings a touch of Japanese elegance to County Durham.

Seaham Hall Hotel & Serenity Spa, where luxury lodges recently opened in its grounds, has now revealed its new-look Geko restaurant, which boasts a decor of delicate shades, floral arrangements and Japanese-style artworks.

And Japanese influences extend not just to the menu, but a whole new wellness ethos. The Georgian hotel - which has attracted celebrities including pop princess Kylie Minogue - is opening Geko to spa guests, hotel visitors and local foodies alike.
