Here comes the sun! Installation shines in hall

SUMMER may have been and gone but the Sun is shining brightly in one part of Plymouth - or, rather, a giant sculpture of our nearest star is.
The amazing Helios installation opens at the historic Devonport Market Hall today and will be open to the public to see - for free - until Sunday, September 28.
Helios is a breathtaking, 7m-diameter sculpture of the Sun, fashioned by artist Luke Jerram out of hot-air balloon fabric. Its surface is covered in more than 400,000 images of the Sun’s surface, inspired by NASA solar observations. It shows solar winds, sunspots and filaments in striking detail.
