Mum glassed 'friend' in bar for no reason

A YOUNG mum has been banned from a town centre bar after she glassed a friend on the side of head during a night out.

Chardonnay Murchison was out at JJ's bar in Liskeard with her partner while her victim was with his own group of friends.

Both knew each other and had socialised on previous occasions before.

However on November 16, 2024, while Murchison was talking to her victim and there was banter between them, she grabbed a glass and smashed it into the side of his head.

A sentencing hearing at Truro Crown Court on Thursday heard how the man came round on the floor of the back room with blood pouring from him and no idea about what happened.

The injuries he sustained were described to the court as "particularly grave" including a wound that was down to the bone.
