LTFRB intensifies call for safe travels ahead of long holiday break

The Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) has intensified its call for safe and responsible travel as millions of Filipinos are expected to hit the roads and transport terminals during the extended holiday break.

This comes as Malacañang announced the declaration of December 29, 2025, and January 2, 2026, as additional nonworking days in government offices through Memorandum Circular No. 111, series of 2025.
The extended days will supplement the existing holidays on December 30 and 31, 2025, under Proclamation No. 727, series of 2024, and January 1, 2026, pursuant to Proclamation No. 1006, series of 2025.
The move aims to provide the public with more time to spend with their families during the Christmas and New Year celebrations but also signals increased travel activity nationwide.
