Mandaue City Mayor Thadeo Jovito “Jonkie” Ouano said it is favorable to conduct an inventory to determine the locations of ongoing flood control projects in the city.

He explained that the City Engineering Office will need to coordinate with the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 6th Engineering District.

According to Ouano, the inventory will also include flood control projects initiated by the city government.

He also revealed that there are other city-initiated flood control projects that have yet to proceed. These projects are only awaiting certain necessary steps, as the required documents are already complete.

Ouano said that aside from the inventory, he also wants to know the status of these projects. He has requested a copy of the project list from the City Planning and Development Office.
