Isak 'really good' behind scenes - Howe

EDDIE Howe has revealed that Alexander Isak has been "really good" behind the scenes since Liverpool declared an interest - but it has not been an 'easy' few days for the Newcastle United star.

Newcastle have always maintained that Isak is not for sale, but Howe acknowledged that the intense speculation was "not an easy thing for any player to deal with when you're fielding calls and messages from people asking you all sorts".
Although Liverpool have ended up agreeing a £79m deal for Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, who the Magpies also tried to sign, Howe has stopped short of making any guarantees about Isak’s future.
