'Predatory' sex offender worked close to children
June 20, 2025
|Surrey Advertiser
A MAN who has worked at schools and a children’s holiday club has been jailed for a number of offences, including child sex crimes.
Harry Nyazai, 27, was sentenced to six years and 11 months in prison at Guildford Crown Court after pleading guilty to 17 charges relating to the possession, making and distribution of indecent images of children, publishing an obscene article and attempting to incite a boy aged 13 to 15 to engage in sexual activity.
Police said Nyazai has worked at a number of schools in Surrey, as well as a children’s holiday club and also advertised his services on social media as a babysitter and after-school tutor.
He was arrested in October 2022 after police received information that he was uploading indecent images of children to a Google account.
Nyazai was further arrested the following month on suspicion of making indecent images of children, and again in January 2023 in relation to material on messaging apps which showed he was communicating with others who had an interest in indecent images of children and child sexual abuse.
