Iddon’s joy at early taste of new ride

BLAYDON racer Christian Iddon has had his first taste of his 2026 steed - and the early signs are certainly positive.

Early last month, Iddon revealed he had left the FS-3 Racing Kawasaki squad after just a year and was moving on to pastures new.

And days later he was revealed at the Sencat by Swan Racing outfit, which has ditched Aprilia power to move to Yamaha machinery for 2026.

Last week - and just days after the news broke that he and wife Nicola were expecting their second baby - Iddon headed out to Spain to get his first taste of the Yamaha R1.

‘The team took part in an early test at Almeria to give rider and crew the opportunity to learn more about the bike.

“It was great to get out on track, it was the first time in a long time that I have got out with a new team before the New Year and it's invaluable,’ he said.
