Midlands musician George reveals the ‘dark side’ of TV’s The X Factor

MIDLANDS musician has laid bare the realities of appearing on The X Factor after being told he was the “next Rylan Clark” only for his dreams to be dashed.

George Windsor was just 21 when he performed for Simon Cowell, Sharon Osbourne, Louis Walsh and Nicole Scherzinger back in 2016.

He managed to bag three thumbs-up from the judges and was ecstatic - but George now admits that what came next was a glimpse into the dark side of fame.

George, from Hednesford in Cannock, suffered trolling when his audition was broadcast, with some of the abuse coming from old schoolmates.

A former manager promised he'd be the next Rylan Clark following his audition... but it never materialised.

Rylan launched a successful television career following his own X Factor audition in 2012.

But George, now 31, never wanted to be a TV personality and instead stuck to his dreams of writing and performing music.
