OWNER'S WARNING AFTER PUP CHEATS DEATH FROM STING

An adorable puppy's evening in the garden nearly ended in tragedy after he was stung by a wasp.

Owner Emily Lomas has told of her horror when six-month old miniature dachshund Bowie suddenly ran into the kitchen and crumpled into a heap in his bed gasping for air.

Sharp-eyed Emily, from Stourbridge, noticed a wasp on the floor next to her beloved pet as his eyes were flickering open and shut and a swelling on the side of his mouth got bigger by the second.

Emily and partner James had only owned Bowie for eight weeks when the shocking event happened and they are now warning other pet owners to take no chances if their dog gets stung.
