NOTTINGHAM Forest boss Nuno Espirito Santo is pleased to have given a new generation of fans the chance of Wembley success.

Forest were regular visitors to the national stadium in the 1980s and early 1990s but their only appearance since 1992 was their 2021-22 Championship play-off final victory.

They are returning to Wembley this afternoon to play Manchester City in the FA Cup semi-final, aiming to reach their first final since 1991.

Boss Nuno, who has transformed the club from relegation candidates to Champions League qualification contenders, said: “We can feel it (the excitement), but as a squad we have to keep our commitment and focus on what is really important which is the game and the opponent and how hard it is going to be.

“We speak to different generations of fans, fans that have been there and have a chance to return. They are proud and happy and we have fans that are going to go for the first time.
