Visitors to Jeremy Clarkson town say there’s nothing to do

RESIDENTS of a pretty Cotswolds town say it has been ‘ruined’ by ‘ridiculous over-development’ caused by celebrities such as Jeremy Clarkson and David Beckham.
Chipping Norton has become a magnet for tourists in recent years due to the arrival of famous faces such as David Cameron, Jamie Oliver and Kate Moss.
But the depiction of rural life portrayed in Clarkson's Farm is also driving demand for housing and putting a strain on public services.
The latest proposed development of 350 homes is close to Clarkson's Diddly Squat Farm and has sparked a backlash from locals.
Local families say Chipping Norton may promise a glamorous lifestyle but the reality is very different.
And while fans of the show say they were attracted to the area because of thissome admit they are now regretting moving because "there is literally nothing to do".
Jane Hancox and Clare Webb, twin sisters born and raised in Chipping Norton, claimed the latest housing project is an example of over-development driven by its lofty status.
