AS OCTOBER half term begins there are plenty of activities happening around Swansea. From spooky activities to live shows, there is something for everyone to enjoy.

We have compiled a list of some of the best events happening in Swansea from this weekend to keep the whole family entertained...

Spooks in the City

Every year in Swansea families can enjoy the free Spooks in the City Halloween event. This year the event takes place today between 3pm and 8pm, with an upgrade. As well as the family-friendly event area in St David's Place, a new and more frightening area is being added at Amy Dillwyn Park.

St David’s Peculiar Place will be a lively area featuring a main stage with children’s entertainment supported by Flying Start, games, music, a fancy dress competition, and performances by professional entertainers.

The new Amy Dillwyn Dark Park area is set to turn into a nightmare inducing area crawling with terrifying creatures and chilling sights.

Halloween Ghost Train

You can take a spooky journey along the promenade at Swansea Bay as the popular Land Train gets a creepy makeover. Taking place throughout the day from Monday to Friday, the train departs from Blackpill Lido for a 45-minute ride. Tickets cost £7.50 each.

Swansea Grand Theatre

Today, Sweeney Entertainments are presenting the Pop Princess world tour where everyone's favourite fairy tale princesses are bringing a twist on a traditional pop concert.
