Walkers step out for hospital charity

More than 350 people took to the banks of the Kennet and Avon canal on Saturday, raising an impressive £52,000 and counting for their local hospital, the RUH Bath.

The Walk of Life is organised by RUHX, the official NHS charity of the Royal United Hospitals Bath. Walkers chose between taking on 10 miles, 16 miles, or a marathon distance along the Kennet & Avon Canal, to raise vital funds for their local hospital.

Speaking after the event, one of RUHX’s jubilant supporters said: "Every year for the last 11 I have always felt a belonging with all that take part.
