Hero saves swimmer at edge of waterfall
November 13, 2025
|Scottish Daily Express
A WOMAN was saved from being swept over a famous waterfall after going for a dip in a pool just above it.
Michael pulls woman to safety
The hapless bather was carried towards the edge by the strength of the current.
But fellow swimmer Michael Smith managed to get to the woman and help her to safety.
The drama unfolded at the Meeting of Three Waters, an infinity pool above the Glen Coe waterfall in Lochaber.
Below the Three Sisters peaks, it is where streams converge to form the River Coe. It was a location for scenes in the film Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Michael, of Ellesmere Port, Cheshire, said: "I'm a risk taker and love finding anything waterfall and pool related. But this was different.
