Help save your pennies... and the planet with cups

A fresh initiative means Paisley punters can boost their spending power if they go green.

Paisley First, the non-profit business improvement district for the town centre, has partnered with Zero Waste Scotland for a new project.

And people can now pick up a free reusable cup from participating Paisley cafes.

A minimum 20p discount will be applied by these places when folk taking part in the scheme bring their cup back to be reused - although some venues offer even more money off if you bring your own container.

The idea is to reduce the amount of rubbish Renfrewshire sends to landfill sites and help the environment-with everyone doing their little bit.
