Work begins on making fire-damaged building safe

WORK has begun to make an industrial building safe after it was significantly damaged in a fire.

In April, ten fire engines were called to tackle the blaze at an industrial building on Beauvale Road in The Meadows. The damaged building has appeared blackened and smoke-stained since, despite being on a residential street.

Part of the structure has also become unstable and presents an “ongoing risk” to nearby residents, the area's representatives on Nottingham City Council have said.
