Toilets shut as part of town revamp

PUBLIC toilets in Bulwell will close on Monday as progress continues on a £20 million town centre regeneration.

The toilets next to the bus station in Vere Street will be rebuilt and are expected to reopen in the spring.

The £20 million overall funding was secured as a result of a successful bid from Nottingham City Council to the previous government's Levelling Up fund.

When completed, the Bulwell Bogs area will be revamped with a new-look Market Place and additional improvements.

Work began in October and the council said the project is expected to be completed by the end of the year.
