Plans put forward for 420 homes next to rail yard site

PLANS have been submitted for 420 homes next to a rail yard.

They could be built in fields next to Toton Sidings, off Stapleford Lane in Broxtowe borough.

They would form part of a larger masterplan for Toton, Chilwell, and Chetwynd, where up to 4,500 homes are expected to be built by 2040.

Bloor Homes, the developer, says the 420 homes would be built on what it is calling the Toton West site.

“Nationally we are facing a growing housing shortage as people are living longer and in smaller households,” the developer says.
