Judge tells knife-carrier: 'People will be screaming you got what you deserved'

TEENAGER SUFFERED 'HORRIFIC' LEG INJURY IN MACHETE CONFRONTATION
THE recent machete incident in Old Market Square has been referenced by a judge as he sentenced a teenage knifeman who was attacked with one in a separate incident.
Judge Michael Auty KC told Jevonta Gray “the public will be screaming ‘you got what you deserved” after the 19-year-old suffered “a horrific injury” to his leg during a fight.
The teenager, of Colwick, and his gang hunted down a man but he then ran at them armed with a similar “fearsome and ferocious” blade Gray was armed with.
And despite it being his fourth conviction for carrying such an item, he has escaped an immediate custodial term.
