Battery believed to be cause of recycling fire

FIREFIGHTERS ISSUE WARNING AFTER BATTLING BLAZE THROUGH NIGHT
A BLAZE that ripped through a recycling plant in Ilkeston was most likely caused by a discarded battery, firefighters have concluded.
Emergency services were called to the fire at Ward Recycling's waste management facility at about 8.30pm on Tuesday.
Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service deployed eight engines and worked through the night to deal with the blaze, which filled the sky with flames and smoke.
