A LIFELONG friend of an 82-year-old man missing from his Nottinghamshire farm has described being “absolutely shocked” after police said they had received intelligence that he had died.
Nottinghamshire Police confirmed on Monday that it had launched a “homicide investigation” after the disappearance of Brian Wright, who was reported missing from his home on November 20.
Officers were then called to a farm on Saturday, where a 52-year-old man’s body - now believed to be Brian's son Charles - was found in an outbuilding, and that death is believed to be linked to Mr Wright's disappearance.
