ACMobility-owned dealers transitioning to new owners
Ayala's mobility solutions group, ACMobility, and Honda Cars Philippines, Inc. (HCPI) will part ways by the end of this year.
The two companies jointly announced the transition of their 35-year dealer operations, effective January 1, 2026. Both companies said this development is reflective of their evolving strategies to pursue growth and innovation.
The start of Honda Cars
The partnership dates back to 1990 with the opening of Honda Cars Makati, the very first Honda Cars dealership in the Philippines. Ayala Automotive Holdings began with a 12.9% stake in the ₱1.1B investment for the local operations and production plant of Honda Cars Philippines.
From this beginning, the network grew steadily across Metro Manila and into key cities nationwide, ultimately becoming the largest Honda dealer group in the Philippines. Over the past 35 years, Ayala Automotive Holdings, operated Honda dealerships through Iconic Dealership, Inc. (IDI, a part of the ACMobility group) and have sold over 220,000 vehicles as of August 2025.
Continued operations

Remembering the 2022 World Cup Final
I could remember vividly in the unholy hours of Dec. 19, 2022, some seven kilometers from the quaint town of General Tinio and on the far end of Nueva Ecija, around 3 a.m. with the skies waiting to break dawn and the breeze ever so pinching for a late-year gust from the ranges of Sierra Madre, I was overly ecstatic, perhaps stoked from the unhealthy mix of excitement, lack of sleep, and the taxing drive from Manila.
