Third XI provide weekend highlight

FOR the first time this season, Prestbury had a full weekend of matches.
On Saturday, the first eleven hosted Aston with Prestbury winning the toss and deciding to bat.
Openers Mark Fahy and captain George Brindley put on 10 runs but Fahy was lbw for 1.
Al Knight came to the wicket but was bowled for 0 so Shakey Shimul joined his skipper and took the score to 33 before being caught at second slip for 8.
Brindley was looking good with five fours and he reached 23 but fell, again caught at second slip.
Will Worswick and Dan Woolf attempted a rebuild of the Prestbury score it didn’t transpire with the score on 39 Woolf went for 1 and Worswick for 3, leaving Prestbury 39 for 6. Sumon Ahmed and Max Cowling Jones put on 20 runs before Ahmed was LBW for 6.
