Leinster blow holders away to secure a final date with Bulls

BLUES GO TO WARR'

LEINSTER came back with a bang to see off the defending champions and make it to a first URC final in four years.

The Blues posted a tweet on the eve of the game that highlighted the negative headlines generated by their unconvincing quarter-final win over Scarlets last last week and pronounced: 'We're not here to prove people wrong, we're here to prove ourselves right'.

Of course their Champions Cup dream isn't salvageable this season, but a URC title is needed by this squad of players.

And they have half the job done now after dismissing the challenge of the Warriors and with a Croke Park date to follow in Saturday week's final.

There was biblical rainfall at the Aviva as the Warriors' classy centre Sione Tuipulotu crossed for the ninth and final try of the game two minutes from time.

But it was mere consolation for the visitors who were out-played and out-fought.
