Man causes accident after use of drugs, convicted

DUBAI: The Dubai Misdemeanour and Violations Court fined an Arab DhsIO,OOO, suspended his driving licence for three months, and banned him from transferring or depositing any funds to others, either personally or through intermediaries, for two years without permission from the Central Bank of the UAE in coordination with the Ministry of Interior.
The suspect was convicted of driving under the influence of psychotropic substances, possessing narcotics, and causing a traffic accident which resulted in damage to a metal barrier and another vehicle.
The case details date back to January 2025 when a report was filed with the police about an accident on Sheikh Zayed Road. Upon arriving at the scene and conducting an inspection, it was found that the fault lay with the driver of a sports car.
