BRYDON CARSE has a spring in his step again after he chose to ignore team-mates' advice to CUT OFF one of his toes.

The South Africa-born star faces West Indies today at his adopted Durham home fit, raring to go and determined to prove he has not lost any of his all-round skills.

Carse insists the nasty foot injury which forced him out of the Champions Trophy early and then cost him a lucrative IPL contract - is history.

England head into the T20 series today on the back of a 3-0 win against the Windies in the ODIs.
