Maresca ready to pile pain on Arne's wounded animals

RALLYING CALL Chelsea boss Enzo Maresca has confidence his side can improve

The Reds have lost their last two matches, against Crystal Palace in the Premier League and Galatasaray in the Champions League, over the past week, with Arne Slot's big-spending champions showing signs of weakness.

Liverpool spent almost £450m on new players in the summer, where the Reds broke their transfer record twice by signing Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak.

However, it is taking some time for the new signings to bed in at Anfield, although Liverpool do go into this weekend of the Premier League with five wins from six matches.

Maresca, whose Chelsea side have faltered in recent weeks as well, thinks Liverpool have shown cracks in recent matches and is hopeful his side can exploit that at Stamford Bridge.
