Legends right to criticise... we've not been good enough

RUBEN AMORIM has no problem with taking criticism from Manchester United legends in the media and admits the fact he is underperforming means much of it was warranted.

There has been conflict between former club greats and the current crop of players, as well as recent managers, in the last few years over some heavy-handed criticism from the comfort of broadcasting studios and podcast booths.

Former Red Devil Paul Scholes (inset, bottom) was the latest to stick the boot in this week, claiming on his 'The Good, The Bad and The Football' podcast with Nicky Butt that Amorim didn’t get the club and he wasn't the right man for the job.

Both Gary Neville and Roy Keane (inset, right) have been vocal critics of the club as well. However, Amorim played down any idea of a feud or the comments being unhelpful and sought to take the flak on his shoulders.
