FANS can expect a pukka line-up at this year's Only Fools And Horses Appreciation Society Convention, as the Daily Star revealed yesterday.

Lovely jubbly Fools gold

Sir David Jason - better known as Del Boy himself - is set to top the bill. His love interest Raquel, played by Tessa Peake-Jones, will also be making an appearance.

Here MEG JORSH gets ready for the Milton Keynes event with some triffic Only Fools trivia.

  • The original title of the BBC comedy was The Readies - Cockney rhyming slang for money. It could also have been called Big Brother, the name of the first episode.

  • Sir David wasn't the producers' first choice to play Del Boy. That was telly legend Jim Broadbent, who later appeared as Del's nemesis DCI Roy Slater.

  • It wasn't the first time Jason's talent had been overlooked.

  • He got the part of L/Cpl Jones in Dad's Army, but was fired in favour of Clive Dunn.
