Gaza: Peace is in sight

THE end of the Gaza war was in sight last night after Donald Trump struck a peace deal between Israel and Hamas.
Both sides agreed to the "first phase" of a plan to end the fighting. World leaders urged Israel and Hamas to fulfil their commitments. PM Sir Keir Starmer called it a "moment of profound relief".
Hamas will release all 20 living hostages in the coming days in exchange for Palestinian prisoners.
