Woakes wants India to suffer Brum deal

CHRIS WOAKES warned India his home ground will be "rocking" when unchanged England give "Bazball with brains" another airing tomorrow.

As 95mph Jofra Archer missed out on a Test comeback after being excused training to address a family emergency, Woakes insisted his fellow 2019 World Cup winner's best days are "still ahead of him"

While Archer (inset), who won the last of his 13 Test caps back in 2021, must now wait until at least next week's Lord's showpiece for his return, the 'Wizard' will take the new ball as England eye a 2-0 lead in the five-match series against India.

Former England captain Michael Vaughan acclaimed the five-wicket win at Headingley seven days ago as a refined version of their breathless brand, calling it "Bazball with brains".
