AN UNDERCOVER survey has found what many passengers have suspected for years - airport lounges are not worth the money.

Travellers have been advised to just go to the pub instead after the Which? research into 28 lounges.

The consumer group began reviewing them in 2017, when the average cost was £25, often including showers, spa facilities and magazines.

Now they cost £42, the spas have gone, the magazines are online and using the showers will cost you extra.

Rory Boland, editor of Which? Travel, said: “There was once a time when an airport lounge was a special treat but our latest results say quite the opposite.
