Murray sacking branded 'disgraceful' by Foulkes

IAN Murray was sacked as Scottish Secretary yesterday in a shock move that a Labour stalwart branded "disgraceful".
The MP for Edinburgh South was credited with helping keep Labour alive north of the Border after it was trounced by the SNP at the 2015 and 2019 general elections, when he was the sole Labour MP in Scotland until last year's landslide victory.
His Cabinet position will now be filled by former foreign secretary Douglas Alexander.
