Norwich hero went viral with fizzy Mad Dog moment, now he's brought party to Scots

FROM MD2020 TO WC2026

KENNY MCLEAN'S famous bottle of MD 2020 has already been switched for the World Cup trophy.

And the Hampden halfway hero has hailed Steve Clarke's 2026 vision.

McLean was an internet sensation a few years ago when he was pictured clutching the fruity wine amid Norwich City's promotion celebrations.

He went viral again this week with his incredible clinching goal against Denmark and the pic was quickly updated with the most famous cup in football.

It has been the sweetest hangover in history with Scotland heading across the Pond next summer and McLean joked: "We can dream! The World Cup is the pinnacle.

"At some point it will sink in and we'll realise what we've done for the country.

"It's been a long time and everyone deserves it.

"It's great everyone has that to look forward to. As players we have the privilege of representing the country.

"But everyone should be on cloud nine because everyone has suffered for a long time in terms of the World Cup.

"Now it's time to enjoy it." The Mad Dog was flowing again the other night and McLean is determined to savour every second of the coming months - along with the rest of the nation.

And he knows who to thank for lifting the spirits of an entire country.

Steve Clarke might famously love a frown but he's put grins on every face in Scotland.

McLean said: "I know! He does smile with us behind the scenes - sometimes! He's got that presence about him.

This week especially.
