Shameless plea to lawyer from prison

- BY ANDY LINES Chief Reporter and ROB HYDE

JOSEF Fritzl, the monster who imprisoned his own daughter in a cellar so she never saw daylight for 24 years, has spoken from jail of how he longs to be free to roam the Austrian countryside once again.

The 90-year-old rapist revealed his dream as his legal team continue to press for him to be let out of jail. Fritzl said: "I just want to be free again. I've sat here long enough and I don't want so many problems any more."

Fritzl, who repeatedly raped his daughter, fathering seven children with her, one of whom died, was sentenced to life in 2009 for murder by neglect, enslavement, unlawful imprisonment, rape, incest and coercion.

Wagner has launched two applications to get Fritzl out of jail.
